About

...the book:
"When I grow up I want to get married and be a mommy." As Pearl waits impatiently for her new brother or sister, she learns and practices skills that will help her be a good mother someday.
Written for 5 to 8-year-olds, this 52-page book is a gentle story about a little girl who decides to practice now for her future dream. Pro-family, pro-sibling, pro-motherhood. Perfect for reading aloud!
...the author:
Perry is a Christian homeschool graduate with a passion for being an excellent wife and mother, and for writing good reading. She lives in Oregon with her wonderful husband.

...the illustrations:
The illustrations were drawn on 20 lb., 92 brightness copy paper with an ordinary #2 pencil. With the exception of the baby hand picture, these were not derived from photographs.
...the cover:
I decided to try something new with this book. Rather than designing completely from scratch as with previous books," I used the Cover Creator tool provided by the company that prints my books.

The author would like to say "Thank you" to…
God- for creating new life, and for creating writing
Tyler- for loving me and being my encourager in all things, including my writing; I look forward to meeting our little one and seeing you as a daddy!
Pearl- for being such a sweet and bouncy little sister
Dad- for being my art critic and teacher, and for courageously valuing biblical motherhood
Mom- for being such a good example, for patiently editing with me, and for teaching us girls how to be good mothers someday
Baby Kirkpatrick- I haven't met you yet, but I love you already; you are this little girl's dream fulfilled.
